Everything This Firm Does
Employment law is all this firm does. We act for employers only. We never act for employees. Each service below says what you get and where it stops.
The full fee schedule comes by email, usually within a few minutes. We will not phone you unless you ask.
One advocate does the work: Chua Yi Xie. Check his name in the Malaysian Bar directory before you send anything. Search “Chua Yi Xie” under Lawyer, or “Yi Xie & Co.” under Firm. Check the listing yourself →
Already have a panel firm or an in-house team? We work alongside them and touch only the employment side.
Find the Job You Need.
Start with what is happening. Open one row. You do not need to read the rest.
Something Is Happening Right Now One employee, a dismissal decision, an inquiry, a senior exit or a filed claim.
- A Consultation. A working assessment, a look at your documents and the next steps in order.
- Before You Fire Someone. A written process plan, one online session and up to three procedural letters for one agreed route.
- The Inquiry. The charge sheet, hearing documents, panel script and outcome framework for one inquiry.
- A Senior Exit. A separation agreement, the terms around it and a script for the meeting.
- A Claim Has Been Filed. Risk assessment, document review, settlement options and preparation for conciliation.
If the matter needs advocacy, we work alongside a separate firm that handles that stage. We may remain on the employment analysis within our own engagement.
You Are Hiring, or Nothing Is Written Down Choose the standard process, help setting it up, or someone to ask.
- The Vault. Five modules of standard documents, including the full-time contract you adapt. One written Vault-use question a week by email for 12 months from access. No rollover. Drafting, evidence review and live staff matters are separate work.
- The Setup. The Vault, straightforward full-time or part-time contracts for up to three role types, your process written down and an implementation handover.
- Someone to Ask. A standing arrangement for regular employment questions after we have seen how your business runs.
You Have Documents, but You Do Not Trust Them The HR Health Check reads what you have before you decide what to replace.
We cross-check up to 100 pages of contracts and handbook material for one employing company. You receive a written report stating what is wrong, what risk it creates and the order to fix it, followed by a session to agree the changes.
An audit can be enough. You do not have to replace every document.
Your Operation Is Not a Standard Office House rules and contracts written for the floor you actually run.
The Build covers kitchens, shops, outlets, workshops, factory floors, clinics, shift operations, foreign-worker and expatriate roles. You receive the handbook, the contracts your operation needs, an implementation handover and up to two online sessions.
This is about your operation, not your size. A five-person workshop needs trade house rules. A forty-person software company does not.
You Need One Document A role-specific contract, one operating rule or another defined employment-law document.
- A Contract for the Role. Fixed-term, commission, executive, foreign-worker or complex shift terms drafted around the work.
- One Rule for the Operation. A policy, staff acknowledgement and the link into your disciplinary rules where needed.
- Something Else in Employment Law. We define the deliverables and limits in a written quotation.
We look in the Vault first. You should not pay us to write something you already have.
Your Managers Need to Run the System A live on-site legal guidance session using your own contracts and house rules.
We read your documents, then show your management team the records, escalation points and steps required before an employment decision. You receive a procedure map, manager checklist and written follow-up points.
We are not a registered training provider, so this cannot be claimed against your levy.
If a specific employee is on your mind, bring that one to a consultation.
You do not have to replace anybody.
We are not a full-service firm, and we are not here to replace your lawyer. Employment law is all this firm does. We work alongside whoever you already use, including an in-house legal team or a panel firm.
If the matter needs advocacy, we work alongside a separate firm that handles that stage. We may remain on the employment analysis within our own engagement.
When not to hire us
- A standard office process already covered by the Vault may be enough.
- For a shareholders agreement, tenancy, trade mark or company matter, call your own lawyer.
- Technical safety manuals, professional registration and permits are outside our scope. We handle only the employment side.
- We will not help anyone avoid EPF, SOCSO, minimum wage or workplace safety duties.
- We act for employers only. We never act for employees.
Not sure which row is yours? The free tools ask about the facts and the way your business runs. Nothing is sent to us. Use the three-minute service finder →
No Call Just to Find Out the Fee
The schedule is private and it is sent automatically. Asking for it does not commit you to anything.
-
Tell us roughly what you need.
A few lines about the situation are enough.
-
The whole schedule arrives.
Not just the one thing you clicked. You see what each service covers and what it costs before you decide anything. Usually within a few minutes.
-
If you reply, a person reads it.
From this point, nothing is automated. We run the conflict check and send a written quote. If you accept, we send the Letter of Engagement and ask for your verification documents. You get a reply within three business days.
Private and confidential. Sent automatically, usually within a few minutes. If it does not arrive, check your spam or promotions folder.
Submitting this form does not create a solicitor-client relationship. That takes a manual conflict check, an accepted quote, your verification documents and a signed Letter of Engagement. For the Vault, payment comes next and access only goes out after payment.
Still not sure which one fits? What does your business need? → Eight questions, three minutes, no charge, and nothing is sent to us.
